Our Family did both whitewater rafting and zip lines. Sean was our River guide and he was great. Matt and Lilly were our guides for the Zip lines and they were great as well. We will definitely be back!!
Amazing trip & Great Guides! The best group of people we could have had to share with us the fun & pleasure that this trip offers. Beautiful views, a group of well-informed guides who know & love the river & the beautiful surrounding community...and funny, friendly personalities too! If you are in the area and you want to ride the French Broad, these are the guys to do it with!
Ahhhmazing!! Everyone was so courteous and skilled. Sean was a hilarious guide to and from the rafting area. Divans was our river guide and not only did he show us a fantastic time but he was funny and a great showman. No one in our raft had ever been before and we all had a blast. Can’t wait to return on our next time in the area to do the 9 mile trip.
We did the 9 mile rafting trip and it was awesome!! Our guide Cory is a pro! We loved all the rapids along the route! We enjoyed the stories and wildlife we saw (bald eagles and nest). It was our first whitewater trip and we were comfortable because the guides have fun with safety in mind. We will be back!! Thank you, Cory!
I went on a zip lining trip here yesterday at 10:30 with Josh and Joe! At first I was super nervous. I have always been a little afraid of heights and I didn’t know if I would be able to handle zipping through the mountains at 35 mph. From the very beginning Josh and Joe made me feel extremely comfortable. They explained everything extremely well but they also have us some much needed humor to break the tension. From very early on I felt safe in their company! I would definitely encourage anyone who wants a little adrenaline rush to go and see the people at French Broad. They are good ones. I’ll be coming back for white water rafting the next time I’m in NC. I didn’t think I could do it but Josh and Joe did a great job promoting it. What a great time. What a great atmosphere! Book now y’all!! You won’t regret it.
We had an awesome experience rafting and ziplining with FBA. The guides were patient and safety conscious without sacrificing any fun!

There was a group of 4 of us for the easy riverside trip. It was incredible! Our guides were great at working with us when giving instructions and were super knowledgeable about the region. We will definitely be back.
Comedy show plus white water rafting - what more can you ask for!?!? Richard was amazing as our guide. He knew the river like the back of his hand. He's funny, personable and most of all you could see that he cared about his client's having a great time. The hot lunch is a total bonus. Highly recommend!

If you're like me, you spend way too many hours reviewing reviews and comparing rafting companies....Let me help you, STOP! There is truly no reason to spend another minute doing research. This company is the real deal. The staff were all top-notch! and the trip down the river was a blast. Great lunch about halfway down the river. I strongly recommend the 9 mile run.
Our Zip line guides, Matt and Shayna, were so great!!! They made a very nervous, first time zip liner (me) feel safe and confident! Thanks for laughing at all our crazy jokes! We had a GREAT time!
My daughter and I had a great time ziplining through the mountains! Matt & Joe were our guides, and they always made sure we were safe, and they kept it fun! the ziplines were so much fun. Highly recommend!
Unbelievable from the phone call to leaving! This is customer friendliness, service and execution at its finest. Incredibly safety conscious as well as executing as a team from start to finish. My family and I went this past Sunday, for water rafting and because we felt the kindness and fun of the team, and how much they cared about us we signed up for zip lining in the afternoon. They are amazing, make it fun and without realizing it you are doing things you never thought you’d ever do! their confidence radiates to you and you become this adventurer! love them, and would definitely come back!! MORE THAN FIVE STARS IF I COULD!!

Had a fabulous time whitewater rafting with Calvin! He is super sweet and made the experience fun, with all of us feeling very safe with him as our guide. It was just the right amount of whitewater for us – nothing too crazy, but enough to be exciting. We will definitely go again!

The Best in NC! Knowledgeable of the river (more so than other rafting companies on the French Broad) safe, fun, and most of the guides have been there 5 yrs plus. They only hire 1-3 new guides a season. Other neighboring companies hire 30-40 untrained, college kids a season. I love TJ and Richard! However, there are other wonderful guides that I haven’t had the opportunity to raft with but was able to meet and talk with them. Real salt of the earth people!

This was so much fun! The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Their main objective is to make sure the customers have fun, but they are all about safety first and foremost. The entire trip was loaded with history and information which made it more than just a fun excursion. Richard was our guide, and he did such an awesome job keeping all of us focused and working together. He is very good at what he does. We had a great time!
