Take an easy trip from North Carolina into Tennessee along the beautiful French Broad River to Paint Creek in Cherokee National Forest. This ride features waterfalls and an ancient creek deep in the Paint Creek area on the North Carolina & Tennessee border. *All E-MTB guests must be at least 16 years old.

Must be comfortable pedaling a heavy, 60lbs, bike unassisted on trails and other uneven terrains.
Must be able to safely navigate a bike for a long duration of time.
All trips utilize a pedal-assited E-Mountain bike and can range in speeds from 0 to 25 mph. Each participant must feel capable to ride safely.

E-Mountain Biking
- Mountain bike helmet for your protection.
- E-Mountain Bike (EMTB). We use M2S Bikes that are based in Asheville, NC. These bikes are equipped with a front suspension shock, and Cane Creek Thudbuster suspension seatposts and the 4-inch wide tires absorb a good amount of the bumps we will experience.
- Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA) - Certified and Trained Mountain Bike Guides

E-Mountain Biking
- Shoes - Guests are required to wear close-toed shoes. No flip flops, sandals, crocs or any other shoe where the foot/toes are exposed.
- Wear comfortable clothes to spend several hours biking.
- Medication - Any medication that you may need immediate access to while on the trip (e.g., asthma inhaler, EpiPen, or diabetic glucose).
- Backpack or waist pack to carry belongings (debit card, credit card, phone, photo ID to show upon arrival).
- Jacket/Rain Gear. A light jacket or an extra layer in case of chillier morning air or Rain gear – just in case!
- Gloves for grip and hand protection.
- Water bottle/snack. Food and water will not be provided on the trip.

Do Not Bring
- Animals to the outpost, no exceptions.
- Valuables or anything else that you would mind having lost, wet, or broken.
- We will provide a secure place for you to store your keys while on the trip.
- Alcohol, as we will be accessing USFS property.

Physical Fitness
- No experience is necessary for riding an E-MTB but guests should be able to confidently ride a standard bike.
- Be able to comfortably walk and ride unassisted on uneven terrains such as trails, gravel, and dirt roads.
- Be able to comfortably control a bike at speed during the tour.
- Be able to stand and dismount the bike.
Health and Medical Conditions
- Be in good health and be prepared to physically participate in the tour. You cannot participate if you have an existing medical condition that could require urgent care (such as major heart problems or seizure disorders) or if you have a condition that could jeopardize your or another participant’s safety.
- We ask that you do not participate if you are pregnant, and recommend that if you have significant musculoskeletal problems – that you seek the advice of your physician before booking your trip.
- You cannot participate if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that could impair you in any way.
- If you may require any fast-acting medications such as an EpiPen, diabetic glucose, or an asthma inhaler please bring them on your trip and inform your guides.

On the Easy Riverside E-MTB Tour, you'll ride pedal-assist electric mountain bikes to experience the beauty of two states in one day. The 12-mile tour features a combination of backcountry roads, waterfalls, and an ancient creek deep in the Cherokee and Pisgah National Forests. As we ride through this area, we recognize the historical significance of being on traditional Cherokee lands and we are happy to share the opportunity to view historical Native American pictographs and painted murals. All trips utilize a pedal-assited E-Mountain bike and can range in speeds from 0 to 25 mph. Each participant must feel capable to ride safely.

Great e bike tour! We had such a great e bike adventure! I would highly recommend French Broad Adventures. Jake and Tom were excellent guides- very safety conscious and very knowledgeable about the bikes and the area where we toured. The ride was beautiful- along a river and we saw 2 incredible waterfalls as well. Jake and Tom gave great instruction prior to the ride and were so patient and fun to be with! The e bikes are a blast!
